Rebecca Rotert received her MA from Hollins College in Virginia where she was the recipient of the Academy of American Poets prize. Her poetry and essays have appeared in Santa Clara Review, America magazine, Hospital Drive Journal of Literature and Humanities, Temenos Journal, Outside-In magazine and the New York Times. The essay, Proteus on the Vasa was nominated for a Pushcart

Prize. Her novel, Last Night at the Blue Angel was published by HarperCollins in July of 2014. She lives in Omaha, Nebraska.

Amy Haney studied printmaking at the Ringling College of Art and Design (BFA 1998) and the San Francisco Art Institute (MFA 2002) and earned an art history degree focused on printmaking from Prescott College in 2015. Amy has taught studio classes throughout the Omaha metropolitan area, currently at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her new studio is at the Midco Building in downtown Omaha.

The fourteen poems in All the Animals We Ever Were were set in Perpetua type with Bodoni Open initials and printed on Fleece White Parchtone paper. Hand sewn into handmade endsheets and covers of the same stock, the books are wrapped in Charcoal Brown Construction with a printed label pasted around the spine. Printing, hand papermaking, sewing, and wrapping, all completed by Denise Brady.
